Insurance One Holding AG is able to provide access to structuring insurance and risk transfer contracts for both direct and fund investors in emerging markets. Covered will be debt, equity and mezzanine investments. Typical risks that we include are: non-payment, non-honouring of contractual obligations by governments, post-arbitration expropriation, currency inconvertibility, remittance controls, license cancellation, political violence / terrorism / civil war, discriminatory regulations), business interruption, and forced divestiture etc. Such risks can result in a total loss of capital if they are uninsured. The insurance arrangements with private market investors tend to be highly customized. Counterparties that will be handled are private and commercial investors, funds and the investing SPVs. There is significant insurance capacity available (in the three digit millions USD) with a maximum tenor of 15 years.
